Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook a variety of traditional tandoori dishes using the tandoor oven, maintaining authentic flavors and presentation standards
- Ensure all food is prepared according to established recipes, portion sizes, and quality specifications
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices, storage procedures, and sanitation guidelines
- Assist in meal preparation for service periods, including marinating meats and preparing accompaniments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including the tandoor oven and related equipment
- Support food service operations by serving dishes promptly and courteously to guests when required




- Follow all food safety regulations and company policies to ensure a safe dining environment for staff and customers

Skills

- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or food industry setting
- Strong knowledge of food handling procedures, safety standards, and sanitation practices
- Experience with serving guests in a fast-paced environment with excellent customer service skills
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment safely, including the tandoor oven and other cooking tools
- Knowledge of meal preparation techniques specific to Indian cuisine or similar culinary styles is a plus
- Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors
- Demonstrated commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and food quality
