About Toronto Kings

Toronto Kings is a professional T20 franchise competing in the NCL GT20 in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, 20 October – 1 November 2026. We’re building a high-performance team culture, and player health and availability come first.

The Role

We’re looking for a sports physiotherapist to take care of the squad’s injury prevention, treatment and recovery throughout the tournament. You’ll work closely with the coaching staff to keep players fit, available and performing in hot, humid Caribbean conditions across a tight match schedule.

What You’ll Do

Before the tournament

- Review player medical histories, injury records and fitness status
- Run pre-tournament screenings and flag players who need management plans
- Prepare the medical kit, taping supplies and recovery equipment
- Find local medical facilities, emergency contacts and imaging or hospital options in Saint Vincent

During the tournament

- Provide pitch-side cover at every match and physio support at training
- Assess, treat and manage injuries, including return-to-play decisions with the head coach
- Run warm-ups, cool-downs, strapping, soft-tissue work and recovery sessions
- Track player workload, hydration and heat-related risks
- Advise coaches each day on player availability and fitness
- Keep accurate, confidential treatment records

After the tournament

- Hand over injury reports and rehab plans for each player
- Deliver a medical summary to franchise management

Reporting

You’ll report to the head coach on player availability and to franchise management on medical matters.

What We’re Looking For

- Registered or licensed physiotherapist, such as with a Canadian provincial college or an equivalent body in your country
- Sports physiotherapy experience, ideally in cricket or another professional team sport
- Current first aid and CPR certification, with pitch-side or emergency care training preferred
- Strong taping, manual therapy and acute injury management skills
- Positive judgment under pressure and clear communication with players and coaches
- Ability to travel to and be based in Saint Vincent for the full tournament
- Valid passport and professional liability insurance
- Nice to have: strength and conditioning background, or experience in Caribbean or international tournament settings

- Engagement

- Short-term contract covering the tournament period plus preparation
- Compensation: TBD
- Start: immediately

- How to Apply Send your CV, registration details and a short note about your sports physio experience to [email protected], or apply through LinkedIn. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis because the tournament starts soon.
