Schedule: Day, Weekend Department: Resident Care Services - Shoreham Village Responsible to: Manager, Staffing & Care Support Services Effective Date: October 25th 2026 Hours of Work: 40 hours biweekly (10 hour shifts) Salary: As per the Collective Agreement Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience with caregiving or volunteer experience with seniors/vulnerable populations.

Physically able to push/pull 50 lbs 1-2 years post-secondary education an asset Experience supporting recreational, social or group activities is considered an asset. CPR/First Aid and WHMIS are considered assets.

Regular and reliable attendance is an essential requirement of this position.

Major Responsibilities:



Reports to the Charge Nurse at the beginning of each shift, communicates with each resident care wing and the kitchen regarding daily support and meal assistance, and maintains regular communication with the care team throughout the shift.

Engage and support residents in meaningful tasks that do not encompass direct personal care.

Supporting the resident dining experience by providing meal assistance under the instruction and guidance of the registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.

Assist resident/clients to their scheduled activities, celebrations and events.

Assistance may be in the form of assisted ambulation or transporting the resident by wheelchair.

Other related duties as necessary.
