Your Opportunity: The Licensed Practical Nurse Operating Room Technician (LPN ORT) assists with assessing, planning, implementing resources and evaluating the perioperative care of the patients in the surgical suite.

The LPN ORT functions as a team member and works collaboratively with other disciplines within the surgical suite.

The LPN ORT will act in accordance with hospital wide guidelines and policies and within the scope of practice of the LPN ORT operating room roles.

This is not a training position.

Description: As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), you are part of an interprofessional health care team, utilizing nursing processes, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills.

You will be guided by your education, experience, and demonstrated skill level, in alignment with applicable legislation, standards of practice,



policies, and procedures.

You will play a key role in providing protected, high quality, patient and family centred care while reflecting the shared vision and values of the organization.

Required Qualifications: Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse education program.

Active, or eligible for, registration and a practice permit as a Licensed Practical Nurse with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA).

Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP).
