The Marine Captain Relief (casual) is responsible for the safe operation, navigation, and command of company vessels in support of marine construction, forestry, mining, transportation, maintenance, and infrastructure projects.

This position performs vessel operations including transportation of personnel, equipment, materials, barges, and project assets while ensuring compliance with Transport Canada regulations, company policies, and site-specific safety requirements.

Working within active marine and construction environments, the Marine Captain is accountable for the safe execution of marine activities, maintaining vessel readiness, identifying potential hazards, and supporting project objectives.

The position requires experience operating vessels in changing weather and water conditions, coordinating with field crews and equipment operators, and maintaining a solid commitment to safety and operational excellence.

While marine operations are the primary responsibility, the role may also support equipment operation, material handling, mobilization, maintenance, and other field activities based on qualifications and operational requirements.
