Our client, a designer and manufacturer of HVAC solutions, is seeking a Mechanical Engineer.

Design the architecture of equipment and products used in the air conditioning industry; define their technical characteristics, perform the associated calculations, and have them validated by the team Design mechanical components or systems; Select components based on technical specifications; Build functional prototypes for proof of concept; Develop test plans, oversee their implementation and document the results; Draft technical documents and contribute to technical manuals, processes, and manufacturing specifications; Coordinate the work of drafters and monitor project timelines; Provide technical support during the manufacturing of current equipment.

Requirements:



DEC/Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field; 4 to 5 years of experience in design for manufacturing of mechanical components (sheet metal parts, castings, plastic parts, machined parts, etc.); Experience in static and dynamic analysis of mechanical parts and assemblies; Experience in production support, including the design of jigs and fixtures to facilitate assembly, calibration and testing; BOMs, and product cost estimates; Experience in manufacturing using sheet metal, thermodynamics, plastic extrusion, fluid systems; In-depth knowledge of drafting standards, GD&T;, 3D modeling (preferably Inventor), FEA and dynamic simulation; Assets: Knowledge of UL, CSA, CE, and ISO certification standards; French.
