At Stellar, we aim to build a studio where people actually want to work.

We face productions inevitable ups and downs as a supportive, truly connected team, prioritizing open communication over anyone working in isolation.

We value honesty, creativity, and looking out for one another.

The Opportunity: We are staffing up for a current Marvel Studios streaming series, and we are looking for a highly talented, empathetic 2D FX Supervisor to lead our effects team.

We need a leader who can conceptualize and establish the aesthetic, creative, and technical quality standards for all hand drawn 2D sequences on the show.

The ideal candidate is an excellent problem solver, a workflow visionary, and a supportive mentor who knows how to pull the absolute best work out of their artists.

In this role, success looks like: Artistic Vision and Leadership Set the creative and technical bar for all hand drawn 2D FX on the show, ensuring everything from natural elements (water, smoke, dust, fire) to supernatural magic perfectly hits the Marvel standard.

Run department dailies and participate in the wider review process, providing your artists with clear, constructive, and empathetic feedback.

Guide, mentor, and support your team of 2D FX artists, helping them troubleshoot difficult shots while keeping department morale high.
