Working in long-term care is more than just a job; it is a calling for many of us.The Opportunity: The Scheduler is responsible for the booking of shifts, the effective day to day business operations, providing reports on an ad-hoc basis and as requested. This role will establish continuous, creative improvement of current services in order to provide an enhanced customer service experience. What You Will Do:* Provides solution focused assistance to site staff.* Ensures all shifts are filled to meet business needs.* Responsible for the management of “site workbook” of vacant shifts.* Manages sick time, time & attendance records, filling up shifts,



and scheduling.* Prepares daily assignment sheets for the departments.* Authorizes and affirms that overtime and agency use is minimal.* Assures effective communication with management regarding unit staffing status and issues.* Accurately inputs relief staff into shifts in Kronos.* Enters accurate hours/pay codes are entered for relief staff.* Liaison with Unit Clerks/Administrative staff.What You Will Need:* High School Diploma or GED required. Diploma in office management or related field preferred.* Minimum 2 years’ experience in same or similar role.* Ability to operate related equipment i.e., word processing software and spreadsheet programs.* Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.* Preference will be given to those who have experience in a unionized health care environment.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.* Upholds in maintaining confidentiality.* Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills.If you’re motivated by the privilege of serving our seniors with dignity, respect and compassion, come join us!
