Shift: 12 Hours; Nights, 6.30p-7.00a
Schedule: 36 hours / week guaranteed, 3 shifts per week, every other weekend
Position Requirements:
- Registered Nurse: 2 years - Required
- Recent/Current Psychiatric or Behavioralhealth nursing: 1 year – Required
Education, Licenseand Certification Requirements:
- ASN or an equivalent – Required
- BSN or an equivalent – Highlypreferred
- RN License for State of IL - Required
- CPI Certification - Preferred
- BLS Certification from AHA- Required
Job Description:
- Provide all aspects ofPsychiatric Nursing care for patients in assigned behavioral healthunit/s.
- The Registered Nurse (RN) managesand coordinates the nursing care activities during the client'shospitalization in accordance with organization policies and procedures.This includes assessment, diagnosis, planning and establishing outcomes,implementation, and evaluation.
- Based on this process, the RNdirects and is responsible for other personnel involved in client care.
- Accurately and promptlyimplements physicians’ orders.
- Prepares, administers, andrecords medications in accordance with the policy regarding theadministration of medications.
- Records information concisely,accurately and completely.
- Conducts group therapies andassigned.
