As an Amex GBT Specialized Corporate Travel Counselor, this person will provide a specialized servicing to client travelers that will require high touch service.

The Travel Counselor should be prepared to offer a unique level of service, outstanding GDS skills, as well as vast destination knowledge.

This Travel Counselor will be accountable for both individual goals, as well as shared team goals, and will be responsible for providing customer service and accurate completion of both international, domestic travel arrangements, and special requests.

What You’ll Do on a Typical Day Act as the point of sale on all Domestic & International travel reservations, arranging both routine and complex air and utilizing native Sabre Provide consultative advice, solutions, and recommendations for our travelers, whilst ensuring adherence to the customers’ travel policy and requirements Operate in a multi-channel environment where you are accountable to key performance indicators of success, such as customer satisfaction, key productivity metrics, and driving key partnerships and sale of preferred partners Use positive telephone and email service techniques; act on special customer requests and maintain excellent client relations Express enthusiasm and energy within the organization and always act according to company Ethics, Values,



and Compliance guidelines Act in accordance with all Amex GBT policies and procedures What We’re Looking For Must have at least 3 years of corporate travel counselor experience Bi-Lingual English/French or English/Spanish preferred and offers language allowance Strong international reservations experience Knowledge Sabre GDS experience is required Willingness to learn a second GDS Knowledge of American Express Point of Sales (POS) tools; including but not limited to SBP, Quick Exchange, Salesforce Effective communication and conflict resolution skills Strong organizational and ability to multitask Demonstrates problem solving skills Ability to manage change effectively Ability to manage workflow in a highly complex & fast changing workplace Displays highest level of integrity when dealing with internal & external customers Location United States The US national base salary range for this position is from $46,200.00 - $85,800.00 The national range provided includes the base salary that Amex GBT expects to pay for the role.

Actual base salary will be based on factors including the scope and complexity of the role and the successful candidate’s relevant experience, skills, knowledge, and work location.
