Our financial services client is seeking a Security Specialist V (10+ years) to lead governance, risk, and compliance oversight using IT risk management, audit remediation, and GRC frameworks Join a global security and technology team supporting regulatory, audit, and operational risk oversight within a large-scale banking environment.

This role focuses on audit and regulatory remediation assessments, governance oversight, and issue validation across technology infrastructure and applications.

The position offers exposure to multiple technology areas and opportunities to expand skills in AI-related initiatives.

The team supports enterprise-wide interactions across technology and risk functions in a highly visible setting.

Contract, Toronto, Hybrid, 2 days but will be going in 4 days eventually 6 months Must Haves 10+ years as an IT Risk Specialist within governance, risk and compliance in regulated industries CISA , CRISC, CISM, CIA or equivalent certification with audit, assurance, or remediation validation review experience Formal training in audit testing , evidence evaluation, issue remediation validation, root cause analysis,



and control operating effectiveness assessment IT Audit and GRC background with strong written and verbal communication University degree or relevant field / equivalent experience Nice to Have Six Sigma CISSP certification or equivalent experience AI security or risk experience/tools Service

Now Responsibilities Lead assessments of audit and regulatory finding remediations across technology infrastructure and applications Partner with technology stakeholders across the three lines of defense to support risk mitigation and remediation activities Provide guidance on audit and assurance standards, IT risk governance control frameworks, and GRC frameworks Support independent challenge and oversight of issue remediation plans impacting information security controls Contribute to governance oversight and control practice improvements related to risk identification and control effectiveness Identify emerging themes and trends and provide business management advice to senior management and technology teams Lead continuous improvement initiatives using AI, Machine Learning, Power BI/Apps, and Python
