Calgary Co-op is looking for a motivated Pharmacy Technician Intern to complete their required practicum hours with our Pharmacy team.

This is a hands-on chance for students currently enrolled in a recognized Pharmacy Technician diploma program who need to fulfill supervised internship hours as part of their eligibility to become licensed with the Alberta College of Pharmacy.

Working alongside our pharmacists and licensed technicians, you'll gain real-world experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused community pharmacy while contributing to the day-to-day operations of the department.

What You'll Do Assist in the daily operation of the Pharmacy Department under the guidance of the Pharmacy Manager and licensed supervisors Support the pharmacist in the preparation and filling of prescriptions with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Act within limits established by supervisor(s) and the legislative framework for Provisional Pharmacy Technicians Comply with all applicable standards of practice Help manage dispensary inventory, including ordering, receiving, rotating stock, and returning outdated or unsaleable product Interact with customers and team members in a positive, professional manner consistent with Calgary Co-op's customer care standards Learn and follow the guidelines of the Alberta Pharmaceutical Association and Calgary Co-op's policies and procedures Stay informed on pharmacy merchandise, new products,



and industry trends Support general housekeeping and department appearance between prescription-related duties Assist with special projects and other duties as assigned What You Bring Registration with the Alberta College of Pharmacy as a Provisional Technician A recent graduate of a recognized Pharmacy Technician diploma program Strong attention to detail and the ability to concentrate on accuracy while assisting with prescriptions A genuine interest in customer service and a positive, team-oriented attitude Nice to Have Prior dispensing or retail pharmacy experience Familiarity with pharmacy inventory systems Why Calgary Co-op As a proud, locally owned co-operative, we're invested in growing our own talent.
