Hybrid Work Model: Alternate weekly between: 2 days in office (Tue & Wed) 3 days in office (Tue, Wed & Thu) 35 hours/week Overview We are seeking an experienced Cloud Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure to support a large-scale cloud transformation and modernization initiative for our public sector client.

This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and governing secure, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions while providing technical leadership across infrastructure, security, networking, and application teams.

The ideal candidate will bring strong architecture experience, cloud governance knowledge, and a proven track record delivering enterprise Azure solutions in highly regulated environments.

Responsibilities Lead the design and implementation of enterprise-scale Microsoft Azure cloud architectures.

Develop cloud strategies, roadmaps, and target-state architecture aligned with business and technology objectives.

Design secure, scalable, highly available, and cost-effective cloud solutions utilizing Azure-native services.

Establish cloud governance, security standards, policies, and best practices.

Collaborate with infrastructure, application, security, and business stakeholders to ensure successful cloud adoption.

Provide architectural oversight for cloud migrations, modernization initiatives, and hybrid cloud deployments.

Design and implement identity and access management solutions using Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) .

Create architecture artifacts, technical documentation,



standards, and reference designs.

Evaluate and recommend cloud technologies, services, and automation opportunities.

Ensure compliance with cybersecurity, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

Support Dev

Ops, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), and cloud automation initiatives using tools such as Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, and Azure Dev

Ops .

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams and cloud administrators.

Requirements 10+ years of IT experience , including 5+ years designing and implementing Azure cloud solutions .

Deep expertise with Microsoft Azure , including compute, networking, storage, identity, monitoring, security, and disaster recovery services.

Strong experience designing and implementing enterprise cloud architecture frameworks and governance models .

Hands-on experience with Azure Landing Zones , cloud migration strategies, and hybrid cloud environments.

Experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD) , identity federation, access controls, and security best practices.

Strong understanding of cloud security, networking, compliance, and risk management principles.

Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates) and CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of cloud monitoring, performance optimization, resiliency, and cost management.

Experience supporting public sector or highly regulated environments is considered a strong asset.

Solid communication and stakeholder management skills.

Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert certification preferred.
