Support Hamilton Child and Family Supports as a Maintenance Assistant II in this temporary full time role. You'll perform essential maintenance tasks and ensure a safe environment for staff and families.

This position focuses on facility maintenance and janitorial duties, ensuring cleanliness and safety across the organization. The ideal candidate will have experience in plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs, combined with a commitment to service excellence and community well-being. Your role will include assisting with various building repairs, inspections, and maintenance tasks under the guidance of the Maintenance Supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:
• Perform daily janitorial duties including vacuuming and garbage removal
• Assist with plumbing and electrical repairs as necessary




• Ensure equipment setup for agency functions
• Conduct inspections and maintenance of safety systems
• Liaise with tenants and contractors for property-related calls

Requirements:
• Grade 12 completion plus one year vocational training
• Experience in building maintenance, plumbing, and carpentry
• Valid Ontario driver’s license required
• Current forklift certification is an asset
• Knowledge of WHMIS and OHSA regulations
