The Greater Victoria School District #61 is looking to hire a Secretarial Clerk/ School Meal Assistant/ Supervision . This is a temporary position working 24 hours per week at Northridge until June 24th, 2027 or return of the incumbent. 14hrs Secretarial Clerk / 5hrs School Meal Assistant/ 5hrs Supervision.

The Greater Victoria School District provides public educational services to over 20,000 students in the Greater Victoria area, encompassing six municipalities. To provide this service, the District has a current operating budget of $260 million and employs approximately 3,500 staff which includes teachers, principals and vice-principals, support staff, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and exempt managerial staff.

The Secretarial Clerk provides a variety of clerical support services in a busy school office, including reception, word processing, student attendance and records management. The School Meal Assistant delivers the School Meal Program. The Student Supervisor ensures the safety and wellbeing of students, typically during non-class time,



while arriving, leaving or on school property. Supervisors work in all weather during the school year.

Education and Experience

Grade 12 or equivalent

Completion of some office administration courses

Over 6 months recent office experience

Knowledge of office procedures

Knowledge of database management, word processing, spreadsheet and email applications

Must demonstrate competency by passing a related District test

This position falls within the CUPE 947 Collective Agreement at a pay rate of $26.97 per hour for the Secretarial Clerk and Student Supervisor hours and $27.99 per hour for the School Meal Assistant hours. This position also pays 13% in lieu of perks. Monday- Friday 8:35am-1:53pm.
