About the Role Our client is seeking a thorough and knowledgeable Senior Building Inspector to join their municipal team in Kimberley . This role is crucial for ensuring that all construction projects comply with local building codes, zoning ordinances, and safety regulations. You will conduct inspections at various stages of construction, review building plans, and provide guidance to contractors and property owners. This is an key position that contributes directly to public safety and the quality of development within the Northern Cape province.
Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive inspections of new and existing buildings and structures to ensure compliance with all applicable codes and ordinances.
Review building plans, permits, and construction documents for accuracy and adherence to regulations.
Investigate reported violations and enforce compliance through issuance of notices and orders.
Provide technical guidance and interpretation of building codes to contractors, architects, engineers, and the public.
