Our financial services client is seeking a Lead Senior Data Engineer (10+ years) to lead enterprise investment data platform modernization using Snowflake and cloud-native data platforms Join a multi-year investment platform transformation focused on modernizing enterprise investment data capabilities supporting Capital Markets Finance and investment operations.

This role provides technical leadership across Snowflake-based data platforms, enterprise ETL/ELT pipelines, investment data integrations, and scalable cloud-native architecture initiatives.

The position offers broad visibility across finance, investment operations, portfolio analytics, performance, and risk functions within a complex institutional investment environment.

The successful candidate will help shape future-state investment data platforms while mentoring engineering teams and driving modernization initiatives.

Permanent, Toronto, 4 days Onsite Must Haves 10+ years in Data Engineering , data platforms, or data architecture within Capital Markets , asset management, pension funds, or financial services Hands-on expertise with Snowflake , cloud-native data platforms, data modeling, pipeline development, and scalable architecture design Advanced SQL and enterprise ETL/ELT pipeline development integrating complex investment and financial datasets Experience supporting investment data domains including holdings, transactions, positions, performance, accounting, portfolio analytics,



and market data Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, or a related field Nice to Have Experience with Aladdin, Sim

Corp, Charles River, Bloomberg AIM, Eagle, or similar investment platforms Experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP cloud ecosystems Strong Python, Spark, or up-to-date data engineering framework experience Understanding of IBOR, ABOR, investment accounting, portfolio performance, and performance attribution concepts CFA, FRM, or related financial designations Responsibilities Provide technical leadership for enterprise investment data platforms supporting Capital Markets Finance and investment operations Lead the architecture and delivery of scalable cloud-native data solutions leveraging Snowflake Design and optimize data models, integration frameworks, and data pipelines supporting investment accounting, portfolio analytics, performance reporting, and risk functions Partner with business stakeholders, finance teams, investment professionals, and technology leaders to deliver strategic data capabilities Drive modernization initiatives supporting future-state data and analytics platforms Ensure data quality, reconciliation, controls, lineage, and observability standards across the investment data ecosystem Lead troubleshooting and resolution efforts for complex data and platform-related issues
