Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Agile Delivery Lead for a 6 month contract with a likelihood of extensions to lead a complex data and application modernization initiative. A successful candidate must be located in Calgary, and is required to go into the office 3 days a week.
This role is responsible for owning Agile delivery execution, driving development governance, managing project planning and stakeholder communications, and ensuring high-quality delivery across business, data, integration, application, vendor, and operations teams.
The ideal candidate will bring strong Agile leadership, hands-on technical delivery experience, and the ability to challenge development teams on estimates, solution design, quality standards, and delivery commitments while maintaining momentum toward business outcomes
Skills and Requirements
• 10+ years of experience delivering technology or business transformation initiatives
• 5+ years of experience as an Agile Delivery Lead, Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or similar role
• Experience leading cross-functional software development teams in complex enterprise environments
• Strong Agile delivery management experience including sprint planning, backlog management, release planning, and dependency management
• Prior hands-on experience in software development, application delivery, data engineering, systems integration, or technical delivery leadership
• Ability to challenge development estimates, solution designs, coding standards, test quality, technical debt, and delivery progress
• Robust project management skills including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, governance, and executive reporting
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Background in data modernization, data platforms, or enterprise integration initiatives
- Demonstrated success improving Agile maturity, team accountability, and delivery predictability across organizations
• Professional Scrum Master (PSM), Certified Scrum
Master (CSM), PMP, or similar certification
• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or a related field
• Experience within energy, utilities, industrial operations, transportation, aviation, financial services, or other regulated industries
• Knowledge of software architecture, APIs, system integrations, cloud platforms, Dev
Ops, automated testing, and CI/CD practices
• Experience with Azure Dev
Ops, Jira, Git
Hub, Microsoft Teams, Power BI, Microsoft Project, or similar delivery tools
- Experience coaching Scrum Masters, Product Owners, Project Managers, and technical teams
