Insight Global is looking for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to support a large financial institution's correspondent-banking and cash-management technology initiative.

This individual will lead detailed business and systems analysis across Vostro and Nostro account processes, client statements, billing and fee calculations, treasury rates, financial reconciliation, revenue reporting, data flows and system integrations.

The successful candidate will combine strong correspondent-banking knowledge with hands-on technical BSA capabilities.

This person will work closely with business, finance, treasury, operations, architecture, development, integration and quality-assurance stakeholders to translate complex banking and accounting processes into clear, implementation-ready system requirements and testable acceptance criteria.

This is a hands-on delivery role that requires direct ownership of business and system requirements, data analysis, functional solution design, Agile documentation, testing support and implementation readiness.
RESPONSIBILITIES / TASKS
• Lead requirements elicitation and analysis for a correspondent-banking billing and statement-processing initiative.
• Document end-to-end Vostro and Nostro business flows involving accounts, transactions, balances, currencies, settlements, statements, fees, interest, reconciliation and exceptions.
• Define detailed business and system requirements for billing, statement generation, fee calculations, treasury rates, interest calculations, adjustments and exception processing.
• Translate complex banking, accounting, data and integration needs into functional specifications, user stories, business rules and testable acceptance criteria.
• Document distinctions among gross revenue, net revenue, fees, interest, rate impacts, adjustments and related accounting treatments.
• Analyze upstream and downstream flows across banking, treasury, accounting, payment, statement, billing, reconciliation and reporting systems.
• Produce source-to-target mappings, field-level requirements, interface specifications, reconciliation rules, controls, exception paths and traceability documentation.
• Use SQL and other analytical tools to investigate transactions, balances, calculations, reconciliation differences, missing or duplicate records, exceptions and test results.
• Support requirements related to correspondent-account onboarding, including account and currency setup, routing, settlement instructions, connectivity, controls, statements and reporting.
• Develop current-state and future-state workflows, functional specifications, data mappings, business rules and gap analyses.




• Facilitate detailed requirements and solution-design discussions across business and technical teams.
• Own requirements throughout the Agile delivery lifecycle, from discovery and backlog refinement through development, testing, defect resolution, implementation and stabilization.
• Respond to development and QA questions, resolve requirement ambiguity, manage requirement changes and maintain traceability.
• Support testing by defining test scenarios, validating calculations and data, triaging defects and confirming delivered functionality against requirements.
• Identify functional gaps, data issues, calculation discrepancies, integration dependencies, control risks and downstream impacts.

Skills and Requirements
• 8+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst within banking or financial services, with recent hands-on ownership of technology-delivery requirements.
• Direct correspondent-banking experience within a Canadian, international or multi-currency banking environment.
• Deep working knowledge of Vostro account processes and accounting flows, combined with an understanding of Nostro accounts.
• Ability to explain end-to-end Vostro processing, including transactions, balances, currencies, settlements, statements, fees, interest, reconciliation, exceptions and accounting entries.
• Experience supporting client billing, statement generation, fee calculations, interest calculations, invoicing or billing-system implementations.
• Strong understanding of financial and revenue reporting, including the distinctions among gross revenue, net revenue, fees, interest, treasury rates, adjustments and accounting impacts.
• Experience translating banking and accounting processes into detailed business, system, functional, data, integration, reporting and control requirements.
• Proven ability to personally write developer-ready user stories, functional specifications, business rules and testable acceptance criteria.
• Robust SQL capability and hands-on experience querying, validating, reconciling or investigating financial and transactional data.
• Experience with source-to-target mapping, field-level analysis, data lineage, data quality, reconciliation and requirements traceability.




• Experience defining integration requirements across source and target systems, including data mappings, message or file formats, error handling, dependencies and reconciliation controls.
• Knowledge of correspondent-account onboarding, including account setup, currencies, routing, settlement instructions, connectivity and related controls.
• Knowledge of SWIFT connectivity, RMA relationships, cross-border payments, multi-currency processing, settlement and exception management.
• Hands-on Agile delivery experience, including epics, user stories, acceptance criteria, backlog refinement, sprint planning, development collaboration, QA support and defect triage.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead detailed solutioning discussions and explain complex banking, accounting, data and technology concepts.
• Experience supporting Canadian correspondent-banking services.
• Experience personally supporting the establishment of a Nostro or Vostro account or correspondent-banking agreement.
• Experience defining statement-calculation, fee-engine, treasury-rate, transfer-pricing or interest-calculation logic.
• Experience with a major cash-management, transaction-banking, core-banking or financial sub-ledger platform.
• Experience with SWIFT messaging, ISO 20022 and RMA setup.
• Experience with Alteryx for reconciliation, data preparation, investigation, analysis or workflow automation.
• Experience supporting correspondent-banking services across multiple currencies, regions or regulatory environments.
• Experience using approved AI tools to support requirements analysis, user-story development, acceptance criteria, documentation review, gap identification, data analysis or test-scenario creation.
