About Progressive Industrial Fluids
Progressive Industrial Fluids is a locally owned, family-operated Canadian manufacturing company based in Southwestern Ontario. We design, manufacture, and distribute industrial fluids and specialty chemical products that support critical industries across Canada.
Built from the ground up, Progressive has grown through a strong focus on process, quality, and doing things the right way. We take pride in producing true Canadian-made products, supporting local jobs, and maintaining hands-on ownership involvement in the business.
Over the past several years, we’ve intentionally invested in building a process-driven organization. From documented procedures and quality controls to ERP integration through Odoo, our systems are designed to support scale, consistency, and continuous improvement. These foundations give us significant room to grow — and we are now poised for the next phase of expansion.
We believe great companies are built by great people. As we grow, we are focused on surrounding ourselves with high-calibre team members who care about their work, take ownership, and want to help build something lasting. We value accountability, responsiveness, respect, and collaboration, and we believe strong leadership and clear processes allow people to do their best work.
Joining Progressive Industrial Fluids means becoming part of a team that is building for the long term — where contributions matter, improvements are encouraged, and success is shared.
The Role The Part-Time Transport Operator provides flexible transportation and logistics support to Progressive Industrial Fluids, with a primary focus on completing customer deliveries and scheduled tote and container pickup runs throughout Southwestern Ontario and other service areas as required.
We are seeking an experienced, reliable commercial driver who can offer consistent availability and flexibility to support our evolving transportation needs.
Responsibilities may include delivering finished products to customers, completing dedicated tote pickup routes, collecting empty drums and containers, and assisting with regular transportation operations during busier periods. While this position will initially be part-time, we anticipate it will grow into a full-time role within the next 6 to 12 months as our operations continue to expand. The ideal candidate will be adaptable, dependable, and interested in a long-term opportunity with Progressive Industrial Fluids.
An important part of the position will be supporting Progressive’s tote return and reconditioning program. Progressive uses and collects industrial totes and other reusable containers from customer locations.
The Transport
Operator will travel established or assigned routes, collect eligible empty totes and containers, safely secure them for transportation and return them to Progressive for inspection, reconditioning and reuse. This work helps keep reusable packaging circulating efficiently while supporting our customers and internal operations.
The role requires more than simply driving from one location to another. You will be responsible for your vehicle, your load, the products or containers being transported and the associated paperwork. You must be comfortable safely loading and unloading industrial materials, inspecting and securing loads, working around industrial fluids and containers, and following applicable transportation and safety requirements.
You will also represent Progressive at customer facilities. We expect our drivers to be professional, courteous and helpful and to communicate relevant information back to our team. If a customer has totes ready for collection, identifies a delivery issue or raises a question that requires follow-up, you are an important link between that customer and the Progressive team.
This is intended to be a practical and versatile position. Some weeks may focus heavily on tote collection, while others may involve customer deliveries, pickups or transportation coverage. The right person will be dependable, safety-conscious and comfortable working independently while remaining closely connected with our Logistics and Operations teams.
