Job Description
Insight Global is looking for a Lead Data Engineers to join a leading bank based in Toronto on a contract basis.

This role is a hybrid between a typical data engineer and supporting security risk and analysis related activities.

The success candidate
will oversee the design, development, and maintenance of the enterprise data
engineering projects.

This role will provide leadership to a team of data engineers, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring the efficient flow, storage, and integration of data across the organization.

The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge and experience with Medallion Architecture,
Microsoft Fabric (Workspaces, Lakehouses, Warehouses, Pyspark Notebooks),
Azure Data Factory, Azure
Data Lake, Azure Function App, Logic App, REST APIs, Mapping Dataflow, and Event Hub, and will employ
the best practices in data engineering.

Skills and Requirements
7+ years of proven experience as a Data Engineer
Proficient in T-SQL, Pyspark, Mapping Dataflow and Python programming language
Data governance framework knowledge
Hands-on experience with Azure data services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Function App, Azure Logic App, Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, mapping dataflow, and Event Hub




Experience with Denodo for data virtualization
Experience with data modeling
Experience in working with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data.

Solid communication skills
Microsoft Fabric
GCP
Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate or Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
