Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Truck Transport Mechanic and Tire Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will perform maintenance, repairs, and tire services on heavy-duty trucks and trailers, ensuring safety, reliability, and optimal performance. Your mechanical expertise will help keep our clients’ fleets moving smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair mechanical issues on trucks, trailers, and related heavy equipment using hand tools, power tools, and schematics.
- Conduct tire replacements, rotations, repairs, and inspections on commercial vehicles.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake adjustments, electrical diagnostics, and system inspections.
- Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, excavators, cranes, or industrial machinery as needed for repairs or parts movement.
- Utilize welding skills for structural repairs or modifications on truck components or trailer frames.




- Follow safety protocols during all repair procedures and maintain a clean, organized work workplace.
- Read technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues effectively.

Qualifications

- Proven mechanic experience with heavy-duty trucks or trailers; dealership experience is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive repair, electrical systems, HVAC units, and industrial equipment.
- Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, or similar heavy machinery is preferred.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics for diagnostics and repairs.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate heavy equipment confidently.
- Knowledge of maintenance procedures for Caterpillar or other industrial engines is advantageous.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
