We are seeking a Full Time Veterinary Assistant to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be outgoing, friendly, and an animal lover. We are looking for someone with VA experience OR who has graduated from a VA program. Excellent communication and time management skills are an essential part of this role.

Duties

-Feed, water, and provide basic care to hospitalized or boarding animals.

-Administer medications or treatments as directed by the veterinarian.

-Monitor animals for changes in behavior, appetite, or condition and report any concerns to the veterinarian.

-Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in the clinic, including animal enclosures, exam rooms, and surgical areas.

-Sterilize and prepare surgical instruments and equipment.

-Clean and disinfect animal cages, kennels, and other equipment.

-Assist during surgeries by preparing surgical packs, monitoring anesthesia, and ensuring proper equipment and supplies are ready.

- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
