This essential role within the Lax̱g̱alts’ap Fire and Rescue Department requires strong community engagement and program management skills. You will coordinate Fire Smart initiatives, and budget management, and ensure effective public outreach to develop wildfire resilience in the community.

Your work will greatly reduce wildfire hazards while promoting safety and preparedness.

Key Responsibilities:

- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Fire Smart Program
- Lead community education events and outreach sessions




- Organize wildfire resiliency projects with community participation
- Coordinate Fire Smart assessments for homes and businesses
- Manage grants and funding for Fire Smart programs

Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years of relevant leadership experience
- Robust communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of Fire Smart principles and community programs
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License
- Successful completion of a Criminal Record Check
