You've Learned How to Fix Cars. Now Come Build Them.
Are you an experienced automotive technician who still genuinely loves performance cars—but is getting tired of the dealership routine?
HPA Motorsports is looking for an experienced technician who wants a more challenging and creative outlet for their skills.
For more than 35 years, HPA has built its reputation developing some of the most ambitious Volkswagen and Audi performance vehicles in North America.
Complete vehicle builds. Engine conversions. Turbocharging. Supercharging. Engine assembly. Drivetrain development. Suspension. Brakes. Electronics. Diagnostics. Fabrication. Dyno development.
We're looking for a technician who already has a strong automotive foundation and wants to take the next step.
Compensation
$35–$45/hour based on experience and demonstrated technical capability
That's approximately $72,800–$93,600 annually based on a guaranteed 40-hour week, plus company benefits.

Who We're Looking For We're looking for an experienced automotive technician, not someone looking for their first opportunity in the trade.
You should already have a strong mechanical foundation and be comfortable working independently.
Strong candidates will have:
- 5+ years of professional automotive technician experience, including substantial diagnostic work and major mechanical repairs
- Strong mechanical and diagnostic capability
- Experience with modern automotive electrical and diagnostic systems
- Confidence using scan tools and diagnostic equipment
- Experience performing major mechanical repairs
- Strong understanding of engine, drivetrain, suspension and braking systems

- A valid driver's licence
- Current legal authorization to work in Canada
Particularly valuable experience includes:

Red Seal/Journeyperson certification is an asset, but demonstrated ability matters to us. If your background comes from another performance platform—BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, Japanese or domestic performance—we're still interested.
Great technicians can learn another platform.
Technical ability gets you through the door.
What happens after that matters just as much.
