Produce Express could be the perfect fit! We’re currently hiring a Full-Time Day/Afternoon Receiver who is detail-oriented, organized, and ready to contribute to a dynamic, fast-paced team.

What You’ll Do

- Receive incoming deliveries and verify product quantities against invoices, purchase orders, and delivery documents.
- Inspect incoming produce and other products for freshness, quality, condition, and accuracy.
- Identify and report damaged, spoiled, missing, or incorrect products.
- Accurately record received products in the inventory system and maintain up-to-date documentation.
- Ensure products are labelled, organized, and stored in the appropriate locations.
- Follow FIFO (First In, First Out) procedures to support proper stock rotation and minimize waste.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate shortages, discrepancies, and product concerns to the appropriate team members.
- Coordinate with warehouse, processing, and procurement teams to ensure efficient product flow.
- Ensure incoming products are handled safely and stored according to food safety and company standards.
- Assist with warehouse picking duties as needed, including picking and preparing customer orders.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe receiving and warehouse area.
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and health and safety procedures.
- Take initiative to identify and resolve issues, make sound decisions, and keep receiving operations running efficiently.




- Perform other warehouse duties as required to support daily operations.

What You Bring

- Valid forklift certification
- Experience operating warehouse equipment such as reach trucks, counterbalance, or walkies
- Robust attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks in a quick-paced setting.
- A proactive mindset with the ability to take initiative, solve problems, and make independent decisions within the scope of the role.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with different teams.
- Ability to identify product quality concerns and discrepancies and report them promptly.
- Understanding of inventory management and stock rotation practices is an asset.
- Basic computer skills and the ability to learn inventory systems.
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs as required and work on your feet for extended periods.
- Reliability, accountability, and a commitment to maintaining a safe and organized workplace.
- Previous experience in receiving, inventory control, warehousing, or produce handling is an asset.Position Details
