About us:

Bessada Kia is Durham Region's longest-serving Kia dealership: family-owned, based in Pickering, and known for caring about our customers and our staff. We're growing our service team. What you'll do:

- Perform routine vehicle maintenance and repairs including oil changes, tire rotations, and fluid checks.
- Diagnose malfunctions using schematics, scan tools and technical manuals, then repair engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, electrical and HVAC system

- Examine vehicles to determine if additional safety or service work is required.

- Keep the service advisor informed of additional repairs, parts and labour, and of any job running longer than promised

- Follow manufacturer repair procedures and guidelines to ensure repairs are performed correctly and efficiently.
- Road test and inspect vehicles before and after service, and flag any additional safety or service work needed

- Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed, including parts used and labour hours.
- Follow the manufacturer's warranty policies and procedures and dealership guidelines.
- Follow safety protocols and keep your bay and the shop clean and organized

- Complete warranty and recall work to Kia Canada procedures, with accurate records of repairs, parts used and labour hours

- Maintain a high-efficiency level through good work practices.




- Maintain a polite and helpful attitude.
- Assist in training and mentoring apprentice technicians.
- Ensure warranty add-ons have the Service Manager's signature on the job.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines when handling tools, equipment, and hazardous materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Foreman/Fixed Operations Manager.

What we're looking for

- 310S licence required
- Proven experience as an automotive technician; dealership experience is an asset
- EV or hybrid experience is an asset
- Strong Aptitude for technical/mechanical repairs.
- Comfortable with manual and automatic transmissions
- Valid Ontario Class G licence with a clean driving record
- Your own tools
- A team player with an upbeat attitude and strong people skills
- Evening and Saturday availability required
