We are looking for a Part-time or Full-time pharmacist to work 3-5 days per week, with weekend and statutory holiday rotation- NO evening shifts.

Our team works closely with treatment centres and healthcare professionals to support individuals throughout their recovery and wellness journeys.

Summary

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Pharmacist to join our growing team in Surrey, BC. This position is available on a part-time or full-time basis, with a schedule of 3–5 days per week.

As a Pharmacist at Joe’s Specialty Pharmacy, you will play an important role in ensuring the safe and effective use of medications while providing patient-centered care to individuals accessing addiction and mental health services.

Clients will have designated hours to access the pharmacy, allowing you to balance direct patient care with dispensing, clinical responsibilities, and preparation for the following day. You may also be required to deliver medications to our partnered treatment facilities in the surrounding area using a company vehicle.

Responsibilities

- Accurately dispense medications and provide comprehensive medication counselling to clients.
- Provide clinical oversight for medication dispensing, including opioid agonist treatment (OAT), hepatitis C treatments, and compliance packaging, such as PacMED.
- Monitor medication effectiveness, identify potential drug interactions, and support optimal therapeutic outcomes.




- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate client care.
- Educate clients on proper medication use, potential side effects, adherence, and other medication-related concerns.
- Maintain accurate prescription records and patient profiles in accordance with applicable legislation, regulatory standards, and pharmacy policies.
- Prepare and organize medications and dispensing activities to support efficient operations and next-day service.
- Deliver medications to partnered treatment facilities when required.

Qualifications

- Licensed pharmacist in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of BC.

· Strong clinical judgement, attention to detail, and commitment to medication safety.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· A compassionate, non-judgmental approach to working with individuals experiencing addiction and mental health challenges.

- Kroll experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and acute care practices.
- Excellent communication skills for effective patient interaction.
- Certified for administration of injections
- Completion of OAT-CAMPP training

Pay: $52.00-$60.00 per hour
