Finishing Superintendent
to its site team for a high-rise residential project in Richmond.This is an opportunity for someone with strong high-rise finishing experience to take ownership of the finishing stages of a major residential development and work closely with the wider site and project management team through completion, deficiencies and turnover.The key requirement for this position is genuine
high-rise residential finishing experience .We are looking for someone who understands the finishing process within concrete residential towers and has experience coordinating multiple trades, maintaining quality standards, managing deficiencies and driving suites through to occupancy.What You’ll Be Responsible For
You will take responsibility for the finishing stages of the project, coordinating trades and ensuring quality, schedule and site standards are maintained throughout the final phases of construction.Responsibilities will include:Managing the finishing stages of a high-rise residential projectCoordinating finishing trades across suites,
common areas and amenity spacesManaging sequencing and ensuring trades are completing work in line with the construction scheduleMonitoring quality and ensuring workmanship meets project standardsManaging deficiencies and coordinating repairs and close-out workConducting suite inspections and preparing units for turnoverWorking closely with the Site Superintendent, Project Manager and wider project teamCoordinating inspections, occupancy requirements and final completion activitiesIdentifying potential delays or quality issues before they impact the overall scheduleMaintaining solid relationships with subcontractors and ensuring trades remain accountableEnsuring site safety requirements and company standards are maintainedSupporting successful occupancy, turnover and project close-outWhat We’re Looking For
The most important requirement for this position is
proven high-rise residential finishing experience.You should have:Previous experience as a
Finishing Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent or Superintendent within high-rise residential constructionStrong experience working on concrete residential towersProven experience managing the finishing stages of multi-family residential projectsStrong understanding of interior finishes, drywall, flooring, millwork, painting, fixtures and final installationsExperience coordinating multiple finishing trades and managing sequencingStrong deficiency management and quality control experienceExperience working through occupancy and turnover is strongly preferredAbility to read construction drawings and specificationsStrong organisational and communication skillsAbility to manage subcontractors and hold trades accountable to schedule and quality expectationsStrong attention to detail and the ability to identify issues before they become larger problemsExperience with construction management software such as Procore is an asset
