In this role, you'll be responsible for researching and developing FEC schemes tailored for optical modems. Key Responsibilities:
• Research and evaluate FEC schemes for optical communication systems • Design soft-decision FEC algorithms for high-throughput applications • Model performance considering channel impairments • Collaborate with DSP and firmware teams for effective hardware implementations • Document design and simulation results clearly
Requirements: • Master’s or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or related field • Strong background in coding theory and FEC algorithms • Experience with LDPC and staircase codes • Proficient in C/C++, Python, or MATLAB • Familiarity with hardware languages like Verilog is a plus
