Machine Operator – Fresh Fruit Processing and Packaging

Les Emballages Syka Frais Inc., a company engaged in the processing, preparation and packaging of fresh fruit, is seeking a Machine Operator – Fresh Fruit Processing and Packaging to join its production team in Brossard.

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating, monitoring and adjusting equipment used in the processing and packaging of fresh fruit while following the company’s production, quality-control, food-safety and workplace-safety procedures.

Main Duties

- Operate fruit-processing and packaging machines and equipment;
- Set up, monitor and adjust equipment in accordance with established production procedures;
- Verify fill weights, seals, labels and production information;
- Inspect products and packaging to ensure that quality standards are met;




- Identify and report equipment faults and production irregularities;
- Assist with routine production changeovers and equipment adjustments;
- Perform basic cleaning of machines, equipment and work areas;
- Follow food-safety, sanitation, hygiene and cold-chain procedures;
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements;
- Complete and verify required production records;
- Perform other related duties directly associated with food-processing and packaging operations.

Requirements

- Secondary school diploma;
- 1 to 2 years of experience in a warehouse, production, packaging or food-processing workplace;
- On-the-job training will be provided by the employer.
- English or French
