JOB SUMMARY:
The successful candidate will work as a member of the Regulatory Affairs team and be responsible for coordinating activities related to regulatory submissions and existing products in a manner which ensures compliance with all appropriate government regulations. The Regulatory Affairs Associate is expected to interpret regulatory requirements, provide input into regulatory strategic planning, meet timelines for current product launches, and ensure that regulatory requirements are met in support of existing commercial products within Health Canada – Pesticides Regulatory Directorate (PRD) and Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA).
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
University Degree in a scientific field with strong emphasis on Chemistry.
Minimum 5 years of Regulatory Affairs Experience in PRD submissions
Completion of a recognized College Program in Regulatory Affairs an asset.
Strong knowledge of Pest Control Products Act and Regulations and working knowledge of CFIA guidelines and submission requirements; knowledge of EPA Guidelines an asset.
Actively participates in the resolution of technical queries or deficiency letters relating to any submission in a timely manner and within deadlines.
Maintains current awareness of regulatory guidelines (PRD and CFIA, etc.) and shares knowledge with the department.
Solid analytical skills with the ability to interpret scientific data
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Proficient computer skills, including relevant MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.
An energetic team player and results oriented with strong interpersonal and time management skills, able to work to tight timelines.
Ability to work independently and problem solving with minimal supervision.
