About the Position

Hines Facilities Services Ltd. is looking for a reliable and hands-on Site Support Shop Technician to join our team in the Fort McKay area.

This position will provide general shop and site support, including cleaning washrooms and lunch areas, maintaining the shop and yard, assisting technicians, cleaning and maintaining equipment, and supporting day-to-day shop operations.

The successful candidate should be mechanically inclined, comfortable performing physical work, and willing to assist with a variety of tasks as needed.

Key Responsibilities
Clean and maintain washrooms, lunch areas, shop areas, and common spaces
Take out garbage and monitor waste and trash bins
Keep the shop, yard, and surrounding areas clean, safe, and organized
Put away parts and materials that have been received
Assist technicians on the shop floor as required
Assist with cleaning and maintaining shop vehicles and equipment
Clean mud and debris from units when required
Assist with loading and unloading parts, materials, and equipment
Assist with fueling shop vehicles and equipment
Keep track of portable water and septic needs
Assist with general yard and building maintenance
Assist with small maintenance tasks on units and equipment
Pick up and drop off parts or materials as required




Complete miscellaneous shop and site support tasks
Assist with snow removal when required
Perform other duties as assigned

Key Requirements & Qualifications
Valid driver's licence required
Mechanically inclined with an interest in equipment and shop work
Previous shop, maintenance, custodial, or general labour experience is an asset
Comfortable performing physical labour
Able to assist with lifting and moving materials and equipment
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Able to work independently and as part of a team
Good attention to cleanliness, organization, and safety
Comfortable working in an industrial/shop environment
Willingness to assist technicians and take on a variety of duties
