Garage Gilbert — Gatineau, QCFull-time | $30–$41.50/hour, depending on experience
Garage Gilbert is looking for an experienced automotive technician and leader who can bring their expertise to our team and help improve the way our shop operates.
You’ll work in your own bay, performing diagnostics and repairs while overseeing daily operations. We want someone who can identify prospects for improvement, introduce better processes, strengthen our team’s technical skills, and raise the quality and efficiency of our work.
Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair vehicles efficiently and accurately.
Organize workflow, assign jobs, and monitor progress.
Share your expertise and support technicians with troubleshooting.
Improve shop procedures, productivity, and quality control.
Verify completed work and help prevent comebacks.
Keep the service team informed about delays, additional repairs,
and completion times.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized shop.
Take ownership of problems and resolve them professionally.
What we’re looking for
Solid automotive diagnostic and repair expertise.
Previous foreman or lead technician experience preferred.
Ability to balance your own repairs with supervising the team.
Initiative to recommend and implement improvements.
Transparent communication, sound judgment, and a reliable work ethic.
A calm, respectful leadership style and pride in doing the job properly.
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
