Schedule: Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays, 2:45 PM–5:45 PM

The Homework Program Assistant supports children with their homework while contributing to their French language development, social skills, confidence, and overall well-being. The position involves both homework support and active participation in the program’s activity sessions.

Key Responsibilities:
Provide individualized support to students to help them understand instructions, complete homework assignments, and develop positive learning habits.
Actively participate in and assist with program activities and group sessions, engaging with students and helping facilitate a positive and inclusive environment.
Encourage students to participate in activities, interact positively with others, and develop their social skills, confidence, and independence.
Support students in strengthening their French language comprehension and communication skills, using French primarily when interacting with students.
Work collaboratively with the Program Coordinator and other Program Assistants to ensure students’ individual needs are supported.




Create and maintain a calm, focused, and non-distracting workplace that is conducive to learning and participation.
Engage positively with students throughout the program and provide encouragement, guidance, and appropriate support.
Communicate relevant student needs, challenges, or observations to the Program Coordinator.
Help maintain a protected, clean, and organized setting, including encouraging students to put away materials and belongings after activities.
Contribute to a welcoming and supportive atmosphere that promotes students’ overall positive well-being.
On an exceptional basis, assist with PCP events or special activities taking place outside of the regular program schedule. Advance notice will be provided whenever possible.
