CALTRAX is a full service independent railcar repair company providing service in Western Canada from two facilities located in Calgary and Raymond Alberta. We provide full service tank and freight car maintenance and repair, interior lining and cleaning, blast and paint.
Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, this position will ensure the building and equipment is kept in positive condition and running.
Responsibilities:
Ensure company equipment, building functions are maintained
Routine inspections on equipment, cleaning, repairing equipment and machinery
Completing preventive maintenance
Dismantles and repairs, replaces and/or orders defective parts using hand tools and power tools
Weld metal parts as needed
Routine maintenance task
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs
Problem solving skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Ability to operate forklift and other mechanical equipment
Mechanically inclined; positive with their hands
Ability to lift up to 50llbs
Familiar with safety standards and procedures
Minimum of 2 years experience as a maintenance technician
Ability to read a work orders
