Are you an experienced cabinet maker looking to transition your career from the shop floor to the engineering office? If you love the craft but want to swap your toolbelt for a mouse, this is your opportunity. We are seeking a Cabinet Engineer who deeply understands wood construction and can translate custom designs into exact, production-ready data using CAD and Thermwood E-Cabinets.
In this role, you will bridge the gap between design and manufacturing, ensuring our shop floor has flawless blueprints and CNC programs to build high-end custom cabinetry.
Key Responsibilities
Create detailed 3D models and shop drawings using CAD software.
Engineer and program projects within Thermwood E-Cabinets for CNC machining, nesting, and material optimization.
Translate architectural blueprints and designer concepts into accurate manufacturing cut lists and assembly drawings.
Troubleshoot construction methods digitally before materials ever hit the saw.
Collaborate closely with the shop foreman/designers and production team to ensure seamless project execution.
Required Qualifications
Proficiency in CAD software is an absolute must.
Hands-on cabinet making or woodworking experience is highly preferred—you know how wood behaves and how cabinets are actually built.
Experience with Thermwood E-Cabinets software is a major asset (willing to train the right candidate with a robust cabinet-making background).
Strong understanding of CNC manufacturing, nesting practices, and joinery methods.
Sharp eye for detail with excellent mathematical and problem-solving skills.

Pay: $45,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
