Protected Harbours Family Treatment Homes is seeking one part time Childcare Worker to provide attentive, compassionate care for infants and young children in a home-based setting. The home is preparing for placements of children under two years of age who may have developmental and medical needs.

This role is a strong fit for someone with Early Childhood Education (ECE) training or experience caring for infants and toddlers. You will usually work independently with the children, so sound judgment, reliability and confidence providing safe care are essential.

Schedule
Part-time; one position available.
Shifts may be scheduled on any day of the week, including weekends.
Shifts take place between 7:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m.
Shifts are typically 4 or 8 hours, depending on the home's needs.
Start and end times are subject to change based on placement needs and scheduled family access visits.

What you will do
Provide secure, responsive care and close supervision for infants and young children.
Support daily routines, including feeding, diapering, personal care, rest and age-appropriate play.




Support each child's developmental and medical needs by following their care plan and working within your training.
Maintain a safe, nurturing environment and communicate observations or concerns to the care team.
Work independently with the children for most shifts.

What you will bring
Experience caring for infants and toddlers; ECE training or experience is an asset.
An understanding of early childhood development and a patient, caring approach.
The ability to follow individualized care plans and respond calmly to changing needs.
Strong communication skills, dependable attendance and sound judgment when working independently.
Availability for variable daytime shifts, including potential weekend coverage.
