Express Employment Professionals is currently hiring experienced Industrial Sewing Machine Operators for an exciting prospect with a client in the textile and apparel manufacturing industry. This role is ideal for candidates with strong garment construction knowledge and hands-on experience in production sewing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Operate industrial sewing machines, including walking foot single needle, serger (overlock)
Perform sewing tasks on adding slings to the Commercial Laundry Bags assembly
Read and follow patterns, measurements, and work orders to meet production specifications
Inspect materials and finished products for quality, durability, and accuracy
Maintain consistent stitch quality, fabric alignment, and finishing standards
Support production targets in a quick-paced manufacturing or workshop workplace
Ensure a clean, safe, and organized workspace
Requirements
Proven experience operating industrial sewing machines (Juki machines, sergers, and walking foot single needle machines preferred)
Minimum 1–3+ years of experience in garment construction or textile production (more experience considered an asset)
Strong understanding of commercial sewing patterns and garment construction techniques
Ability to perform detailed work including assembly, stitching, and finishing
High attention to quality, consistency, and detail
Ability to work independently and meet production deadlines
