Salon Manager — Michael's Hair Design

Michael's Hair Design, an upscale, family-friendly salon in Oakville serving the community since 1967, is hiring an experienced Salon Manager to lead day-to-day operations and help grow the business. Full-time or part time.

About the Role

As Salon Manager, you'll run the salon day to day — leading our team of stylists, keeping operations running smoothly, overseeing the client experience, and driving our marketing and social media presence. You'll be the face of the salon to both clients and staff, so a polished, professional presence and genuine people skills are essential.

What You'll Do
Oversee day-to-day salon operations, including scheduling, inventory, and product ordering
Lead, support, and manage the team of stylists
Support the hiring, onboarding, and training of new stylists
Own the salon's marketing and social media activity, growing our profile and attracting current clients
Deliver an excellent client experience and handle customer concerns with professionalism
Keep on top of the books, with basic accounting and bookkeeping support for the owner




Work comfortably with our booking system (Fresha)
Help set and work toward business goals, such as revenue and retail sales targets

What We're Looking For

Essential
At least 5 years of experience managing or running a salon
A strong grasp of marketing and social media
Proven ability to manage and lead a team, with excellent soft skills
A presentable, qualified manner and strong communication skills with both clients and staff

An asset
Familiarity with accounting and bookkeeping
Hands-on hairstyling experience

Pay: $25.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 37.5 per week
