Salary + 5 - 10 % Commission

We are seeking an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to manage the estimating and bidding process for public/municipal tenders, structural projects, and commercial fit-outs.

The successful candidate will review architectural and structural drawings, complete accurate digital takeoffs, prepare detailed cost estimates, and coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders to ensure competitive and accurate bids.

Key Responsibilities
Perform detailed digital quantity takeoffs and prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
Review architectural, structural, and MEP drawings, specifications, tender documents, and addenda.
Prepare and submit bids for public works, municipal tenders, bonded projects, and commercial construction projects.
Estimate projects involving:
Concrete foundations
Structural steel framing
Commercial interior fit-outs
Prepare detailed line-item pricing for labour, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project costs.
Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotations.
Identify scope gaps and ensure complete coverage before bid submission.
Participate in value engineering and cost-control initiatives.




Work closely with Project Managers and Site Supervisors during pre-construction and project handover.
Maintain accurate estimating records and meet strict tender deadlines.

Qualifications
Proven experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably within the GTA commercial construction market.
Solid experience with commercial and public/municipal projects.
Advanced ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings.
Strong knowledge of concrete/foundations, structural steel, and commercial interior fit-outs.
Experience with estimating/takeoff software such as PlanSwift, Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), or similar.
Solid Microsoft Excel skills.
Familiarity with bonded projects, GTA building codes, municipal bidding procedures, and public tender processes.
Robust analytical, negotiation, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple bids and work effectively under strict deadlines.
Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Technology, or equivalent practical experience.

Asset: Previous experience in Project Management or field construction/execution within the GTA.

Pay: $4,000.00-$4,500.00 per month
