Duties
Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to enhance comfort and independence
Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental well-being and reduce feelings of loneliness
Perform light housekeeping tasks including cleaning, laundry, and maintaining a secure living workplace
Help clients with mobility exercises and transfers to prevent falls and improve physical health
Document care activities accurately, including medication logs, daily notes,
and incident reports
Experience
Prior experience working in retirement homes, assisted living facilities or nursing homes is highly desirable
Experience caring for seniors or individuals with disabilities, including those living with dementia or cognitive impairments
Knowledge of home care practices, caregiving techniques, and safety protocols in personal support roles
Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care while maintaining professionalism and respecting client dignity
Ability to perform light cleaning tasks efficiently to uphold hygiene standards in clients’ homes or care settings
