Nurse Practitioner (NP) for busy Gynecology Procedure Clinic (at Yonge and Davisville)
Full-time, weekdays only, no night work, no weekends.
The ideal candidate is an experienced Nurse Practitioner, preferably with gynecology or women's health experience, with superior interpersonal skills and the ability to be self-directed and a valuable resource in a fast-paced workplace. We are an out-of-hospital procedure clinic and practice gynecology and gynecologic procedures. Must have Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certificate (ACLS) or be willing and able to obtain it soon.
A warm, kind personality will be advantageous.
The role includes:
conducting patient assessments, consultations, and follow-up visits
performing gynecologic exams and procedures within NP scope of practice (e.g., Pap tests, pelvic exams, IUD insertions)
ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and prescribing medications
initiating and managing menopausal hormone therapy, including patient counselling on risks and advantages
assisting with in-clinic procedures and monitoring patients in recovery
patient counselling and education (contraception, menopause, sexual and reproductive health)
patient call-backs and communication of results
triaging referral letters
Requirements:
Registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario as an NP (Primary Health Care or Adult)
Experience in gynecology, women's health, or primary care preferred
Experience with or interest in menopause and hormone therapy management an asset
Comfortable with electronic medical records
