Line Cook

East Side Mario’s is looking for a motivated and reliable Line Cook to join our kitchen team!

Position Overview

As a Line Cook, you’ll play an significant role in delivering the quality, consistency, and excellent taste our guests expect. You’ll work as part of a fast-paced kitchen team, preparing food according to recipes, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and following all food-safety standards.

Responsibilities
Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and portion standards
Set up and stock kitchen stations before and during service
Maintain proper food temperatures and follow safe food-handling procedures
Ensure food is prepared and presented consistently
Keep workstations, equipment, and kitchen areas clean and organized
Follow proper sanitation and food-safety practices
Communicate effectively with other kitchen team members and front-of-house staff
Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating food supplies
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized kitchen throughout the shift
Complete opening, closing, and cleaning duties as required

Qualifications
Previous kitchen or line-cook experience is an asset




Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
Strong teamwork and communication skills
Reliable, punctual, and dependable
Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and food-safety procedures
Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting kitchen supplies when required
Food Handler certification is an asset
