Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Health and Safety Coordinator to champion workplace safety initiatives and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations. In this vital role, you will oversee health and safety programs that foster a secure environment for all employees. Your expertise will help identify potential hazards, conduct safety training, and promote a culture of continuous safety improvement across manufacturing operations. Key Responsibilties
Maintain a visible presence on active projects through regular visits, coaching, and mentoring.
Knowledge of scaffolding, cranes, fall protection systems, confined spaces, ground disturbance, and other high-risk construction activities.
Organize safety training, first aid coverage, PPE distribution, and maintain safety records.
Conduct site inspections weekly, FLHA compliance, develop Emergency Response and health and safety plans as applicable.
Ensure safety boards, and records are up-to-date and accessible.
Monitor contractor compliance
Perform incident investigations.
Support office teams with legislative updates, program audits, and safety reporting.




Collaborate with management to improve secure work procedures and practices.
Willingness and flexibility to work out of town for short-term assignments.

Qualifications
Certified Construction Safety Officer (NCSO).
A minimum of 2 years experience in commercial construction or industrial safety preferred.
Current Auditor Certification with the Alberta Construction Safety Association (ACSA).
Valid Standard First Aid and CPR/AED – Level C certification. Advanced first aid would be an asset
Comprehensive understanding of the Alberta Occupational Health and Safety Act, Regulation, and Code.
Excellent communication, coaching, and organizational skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with field and office teams.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software
