Duties
Safely operate Class 3 commercial vehicles, including trucks and vans, to deliver freight efficiently and on schedule
Load and unload cargo using forklifts and other heavy equipment, ensuring proper handling and securement of goods
Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic automotive repairs to maintain optimal performance and safety compliance
Verify shipment details, complete delivery documentation, and ensure accurate freight handling
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and team members to coordinate schedules and resolve issues promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the vehicle interior and exterior after each shift
Follow all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations
Experience
Valid Class 3 driver’s license with a clean driving record
Prior experience in commercial driving or freight transportation preferred
Hands-on experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is highly desirable
Knowledge of automotive repair basics to troubleshoot minor vehicle issues
Familiarity with freight handling procedures and safety regulations in logistics environments
Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting, loading, and unloading freight regularly
