Job Description

We are currently seeking a compassionate and reliable Personal Support Worker (PSW) to join our care team at a retirement home in Hamilton. The successful candidate will provide personal care and daily assistance to residents in a respectful, safe, and professional manner, helping to support their comfort, dignity, and quality of life.

Responsibilities
Assist residents with personal care, including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility
Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
Observe, report, and document changes in residents’ condition to the supervisor
Ensure residents’ safety and comfort at all times
Assist with light housekeeping duties within the facility
Perform laundry duties for residents, including washing, drying, and folding
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary environment
Follow all care plans,



policies, and health & safety procedures
Communicate respectfully with residents, families, and staff

Requirements
Valid Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate
First Aid & CPR Certification
Vulnerable Sector Police Check (current or willing to obtain)
ORCA Training (current or willing to complete)
Previous experience in a retirement home or long-term care setting is an asset
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Reliable, compassionate, and skilled attitude
