We are seeking a dedicated, diligent and punctual Real Estate Law Clerk/Legal Assistant to join our professional team in office. The successful candidate will assist lawyers and staff with client intake, preparing correspondence, searching, preparing closing documents, scheduling signing appointments, closing and post-closing reporting tasks.

Responsibilities
Assist in onboarding clients, reviewing Purchase and Sale Agreements, mortgage lender instructions and preparing closing costs estimates
Communicate with other real estate industry offices, including realtors, municipal offices, law offices, banks and mortgage brokers
File opening, drafting correspondences, searches of title and off-title investigations for lawyer review, preparing closing documents, scheduling meetings, attending to closing procedures, post-transaction reporting to clients and lenders
Organize and maintain legal files and documents

Experience




Law Clerk or Legal Assistant diploma from an Ontario college required
Previous experience working in a law firm as a Legal Real Estate Assistant/Clerk required
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent customer service skills
Proficiency in Closer, Teraview, Microsoft Suite required
