We at Joe Meloche Ford are seeking a skilled and dedicated Level 3 Apprentice or a Licensed Automotive Technician to join our Service Team. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in automotive repair and maintenance, with experience working in a dealership environment preferred. This role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles, ensuring high-quality service and customer satisfaction. The Automotive Technician will utilize their mechanical expertise and technical skills to deliver efficient and reliable repairs, contributing to the overall success of our service department.
Duties
Perform comprehensive vehicle diagnostics using schematics and diagnostic tools
Conduct repairs and maintenance on various vehicle systems including engines, brakes, transmissions, and electrical components
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs accurately and efficiently
Follow manufacturer specifications and safety protocols during all repair procedures
Assist with vehicle assembly, parts replacement, and system upgrades as needed
Maintain detailed records of services performed for each vehicle
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of work orders
Qualifications
Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or Mechanic, preferably in a dealership setting
Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive systems and components
Experience with automotive repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting techniques
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
OEM Training is an asset
Valid 310S certification is preferred
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced workplace
