Software Analyst in Test:
On behalf of our client, Procom is searching for a Software Analyst in Test for a 6 month contract role. This position is a hybrid position with 3 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

Software Analyst in Test - Job Description:
The Intermediate Software Analyst in Testing is responsible for ensuring the quality of software delivery for large-scale rail signalling projects. The candidate will collaborate with software developers and systems engineers to create, execute, and evaluate in-house software tests and test plans, gaining experience in rail signalling and CBTC.

Software Analyst in Test - Responsibilities:
Perform analysis of system, subsystem, and software requirements to define validation methods and test cases
Develop and maintain test plans, procedures, and test cases; prepare test reports and identify root causes of failures
Develop test automation
Investigate test anomalies through data analysis and collaboration with project team members
Conduct operational and stress-test scenarios
Conduct testing in laboratory and desktop simulation settings
Communicate test observations and results to engineering staff, supervisors, and customers
Adhere to company processes and work instructions




Acquire product knowledge through training and self-study

Software Analyst in Test - Mandatory Skills:
Knowledge and skills in software testing and development
Experience with test automation development
Robust analytical and problem-solving skills
Effective communication skills
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Experience in working with cross-functional teams
Understanding of safety protocols in testing environments

Software Analyst in Test – Nice-to-Have Skills:
Experience in rail signalling or CBTC systems
Familiarity with stress-testing scenarios

Software Analyst in Test – Assignment Length:
This is a 6 month position.
